Ski jumping?
Funny sport really.
I come to think of Matti Nykänen and the Eagle.
Real characters:)

We at Trieste had some regional Championships including giant slalom, cross country and ski jumping fom a small height . Our President had pressed some rock climbers from the Gruppo Rocciatori to jump in order to make some points. When they had to jump, he just turned the other way not to see the poor devils falling and crashing. He was a just man and paid us the supper in a Friuli Trattoria after the event, with good Pinot Grigio.

Many falls. Goggia and Vonn out, like Nadia Fanchini and others. Treacherous snow.

It's funny that so many skiers are related to each other.
Elena Curtoni's sister is Irene
Tina Weirather. She is the daughter of the former skier Harti Weirather and Hanni Wenzel.
Felix Neureuther. He is the son of the former German alpine skiers Rosi Mittermaier and Christian Neureuther.
Manulea Möllg's brother is Manfred.
Probably many more examples.

This is a medal I will share with Therese Johaug, said Bjørgen to NRK.
Charlotte Kalla's heart problems seems to be OK now:)

Big drama when the leading Emil Iversen, Norway and Iivo Niskanen, Finland did this just before the finish line.

The girls will go to Korea for downhills and SuperG. The men to Kraniska Gora for slalom and giant slaloms. Then Aspen for finals. Hirscher is leading men and Shriffin women. Italians always on podiums.

Queen Marit of course.
She has now take 16 WSC gold medals in her career.
In Norway, skiing is serious business. So serious that it may even disrupt the work of parliament.
Norwegian politicians are said to have voted incorrectly on a divisive bill because they were too busy watching their compatriots compete for the gold at the ongoing World Ski Championships.
