Women Giant Slalom canceled after 19 runs because of wind at Courchevel. 3 Italian girls in the first 4 places but the decision was right.

It has not been a good year for the Swedish women skiing teams...
Mattias Hargin's wife died in an avalanche in Chile.
Charlotte Kalla, cross country skier, suffers from heart problem.
Anna Holmlund, skicross, got an severe head injury in training more than a week ago and is still sedated.
Maria Pietilä-Holmer will probably miss the World Championship this season because of the knee injury.

Tomorrow there will be a slalom for women and an Alpine combined event for men. That American girl seems not easily beaten and Marcel Hirscher can win the combined event.

Apparently the cycling season is not over.
At very least not in Siberia.

It was quite a warm day at minus 34C, we bought a cup, medals and a cake to make it worth competing,' said Yaroslav Torgovkin who inspired the race.

Mangiare alcune castagne arrostite come i romani:)
O forse la grappa di fuoco che ne bevete in Valle d'Aosta!
Buon anno.
