We have the Walser valleys around Monte Rosa where people still speak an old German dialect. In the Middle Ages there was a warm period when German speaking tribes crossed the Alps with their herds and settled in high altitude places. There are still Walser homes in Val Sesia but they are mostly owned by Milan people and have TV antennas on their roofs.

UEFA EURO 2016 is a great opportunity to introduce yourself to a new language:)
Sweden's Fosh-berry will meet Belgian Tea-bo Coor-twa och Italian Jor-joh Key-eh-lean-ee.

It's disgusting. I won't report on this because it's no longer a sport. The French authorities were afraid of terrorists, now they have to cope with hordes of drunk soccer fans. In Italy the sale of alcoholics is forbidden near and inside stadiums of soccer matches.

My standard dinner is spaghetti with salsa bolognese, but my provider of frozen foods tempts me with fish based dishes, plus an excellent German beer. I have just finished my Dolcetto wine, which is not a sweet wine.

Spaghetti bolognese:)
I'm usually doing that myself because it's easy to cook and very tasty.
Strange to call a wine Dolcetto when it's not a sweet wine.
We can buy it here as well (Dolcetto d'Alba) but it's rather expensive.

Sweden's team in France:)

We have higher taxes on alcohol here than Italia has.
But I'm surprised that the prizes don't differ so much any more.

Both Barbera d'Asti and Dolcetto d'Alba is available here but there are so many to choose from:)

One Krona is about one tenth Euro.

A very short list, all in 35 s. This means they all can compete in the Tour. Fabio Aru should be there, don't know about Nibali.

Nibali didn't compete this year.
Fabio Aru did and finished 45th. 40 minutes behind Froome.
Froome said.
“This is a great time for me to have a win under the belt. It's a boost of confidence ahead of the Tour de France but there's still some work to do before July. I'm not at my best yet. I hope to reach that by the start of the Tour de France. I've not raced much this year in order to be at my best during the third week of the Tour.”

Looking good for Le Tour.
