E' stata inaugurata la nuova cabinovia Skyway che porta dai 1300 metri di Courmayeur ai 3460 di Punta Helbronner in 19 minuti. Poi si puo' proseguire per Chamonix. E' uno sbalzo di 2160 metri che puo' essere pericoloso per chi ha problemi di ipertensione. Io avevo preso la vecchia funivia fino al Rifugio Torino senza problemi, ma un mio amico stava male. Poi e' morto in Himalaya.

19 minutes in a cabin looking out seems more like sitting home and watching TV.

I haven't done any mountain climbing but walked in the Alpes a couple of times.
But the feeling that you want up is there all the times.

I've seen mountains from Triglav in Slovenia (beautiful its National Park) to Mont Blanc from Courmayeur and also from the Aiguilles Rouges above Chamonix. I've talked with Walter Bonatti in Van Veny and in Milano. Great man.
