Hello Tulio, one request. Skiing is one of my favorite sports, but I just don't have the time to watch it. Can you please post those update in English too? Google translater sucks from Italian to English.

Sure. The men's SuperG has been delayed 24 hours because of a snow storm.

Bode Miller was injured unfortunately. A big cut in his leg may be the cause he can't do the upcoming downhill race.
Kjetil Jansrup, the favorite, was also injured when he hit a gate badly.
He might have his arm dislocated or a broken collarbone.
A big surprise is Dustin Cook, Canada.

Lindsey Vonn did almost the same mistake as Kajsa Kling Sweden.
No room for mistakes.

Ho camminato e sciare nelle Alpi. Improvvisamente una grande roccia caduta vicino a me.

This year is the the 150th anniversary of the climb of Cervino (Matterhorn) by Edgard Whymper and his 7 people team, including the Swiss guides. Four of them fell to their death during the descent because of a broken rope.
A few days after Jean Antoine Carrel led an Italian team via Colle del Leone and Pic Tyndall, the Italian route. I followed this route up to Capanna delle Guide, at 3800 meters height. Then my friend Lino Candot, an apprentice guide then, informed me that he could not bring me to the top, because of the Statute of the Guides Company, so I lost my Cervino. As a guide, he climbed Cervino 70 times since then.
Walter Bonatti ended his climbing career with the solo winter climb of the North Face via a new route in 1965. I had met him in Val Veny in 1963 where he led a rescue operation on the Aiguille Noire de Peuterey he had no duty to do, he was no longer a guide. Honor to him, a really great man.

I have walked and skied in the Alps. But the feeling that you want to climb mountains is there. In Innsbruck, I went more than I should. In the beginning, it was good, but it started to lean more and more. Suddenly a large rock fall near me. Then I decided to go down to the restaurant to have a beer instead

It 'always wrong to go to the mountains alone. You have to have a good companion and a good rope.

And a helmet too:)

Austria had not even a skier amongst the top ten.
Neither Kjetil Arnsrud and Dominik Paris did succeed.
But as usual when it's world championship it will be surprising results.
