Now that I have received some of the credits for the wu's done, I see that my quads are getting longer units and proportionate credit while the older computers are getting also longer wu's, but about 1/2 the credit due. I wonder if your computer is paired with a CUDA will you get less credit since the latter is so much faster? It seems that way. |

Word of caution when considering upgrading CUDA drivers. There are problems running GPUGRID work units with the new version NVidia drivers under Windows XP (32-bit). Works fine for 64-bit. No myth, all mine failed after the "upgrade" to 190.38. Seti goes like a rocket now using cuda 2.3 DLL's. It would appear to be related to the chip on your graphics card. The G92's work. The G200's fail. I have a mixture of both. 4 machines have GTS250's (G92 chip) and they work fine. 1 machine has dual GTX260's (G200 chip) and they all fail. Nothing overclocked. It doesn't seem to effect the Seti app, which got a significant performance increase from the cuda 2.3 DLL's. BOINC blog |

Just so everyone knows this is True. The Enhanced Workunits have Arrived. I should have checked these forums before disassembling my computer looking for a hardware problem to explain why these things were running twice as long. I assumed longer processing time meant a hardware problem was causing my computer to run slower. I almost went out to buy new parts! |
