Your computers are hidden so can't see the workunits, but my guess is that they

Hello, I assume that it is crunching on both cores of the 295? If so, I second FiveHamlet. F. ____________

And don't rely on RAC to check progress. It's a lagging indicator, crude, and reliant on too many variables outside your control (such as validation against wingmates). Follow, and post reports of, the actual WUs that you process, and the time they take.

It does look intimidating :) You could try the Lunatics unified installer. http://lunatics.kwsn.net/index.php?module=Downloads Follow the windows thread.

the unified installer is awesome. MY computer skills stink and i was able to run the ops on my old P4. Mine are ok, But considering where I started at with computers(1980), this is mostly 2nd nature to Me, I guess I'm becoming an old pro now. ;) ____________ BSG Anthem My Facebook page

If you are running Vista O/S then look for

As you are not using vista, look at the Messages tab of BOINC manager after a restart of the client. The listed data directory is probably hidden by windows.

Hello, Make sure to: Set PhysX GPU acceleration to DISABLED and Select the multi-GPU configuration to Do Not use multi-GPU mode The will then allow BOINC to run TWO CUDA apps at the same time in the WU list along with one WU per CPU core. My one machine does 10 WUs at a time this way. ____________

Make sure to: It's NOT necessary to disable PhysX. It IS necessary to disable multi-GPU mode and to extend the desktop onto the second monitor. F. ____________

It's NOT necessary to disable PhysX. [...] To now I disabled all the time PhysX after every update of the nVIDIA driver. But.. someone made a test or know, if PhysX would have impact [+/-] to the CUDA performance? ____________ >Das Deutsche Cafe. The German Cafe.<

It's NOT necessary to disable PhysX. [...] No + or -. Whether or not PhysX is enabled has no effect on crunching. I have been running for months without PhysX disabled - just multi-GPU mode disabled. F. ____________

It's NOT necessary to disable PhysX. [...] I have PhysX enabled here and Multi gpu disabled and have done so with 6.6.36 and now with 6.6.37, Plus I don't have the desktop extended to anywhere, Although I do have the Desktop cloned to My TV on the second DVI port of My GTX 295, Even If the last few drivers won't do more than 720p while cloning(Sometimes I get 1080p anyway and the 57" TV complains of an invalid signal), In other modes I get 1080p on the TV and the TV doesn't complain at all, Something is amiss in the driver I think, It's the only thing that makes sense as the 178 drivers supported 1080p while cloning and the TV clearly supports 1080p, sigh. My current driver is the WHQL 186.18 for XP x64, Windows 7 will be interesting in late October, So It's going to be a long summer indeed. Oh and My PC crunches on without any trouble. ____________ BSG Anthem My Facebook page
