[UPDATE]

Starting BOINC client version 6.10.16 for windows_intelx86

Processor: 4 GenuineIntel Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q8400 @ 2.66GHz [x86 Family 6 Model 23 Stepping 10]

NVIDIA GPU 0: GeForce GT 220 (driver version 18627, CUDA version 2020, compute capability 1.2, 1024MB, 154 GFLOPS peak)

Did a bit more tweaking on the GPU clock speeds and gained 10 more GFLOPS! WOW!

Not bad for a cheap graphics card...

Using BOINC 6.10.17

30/10/2009 23:29:25 NVIDIA GPU 0: GeForce 8800 GTX (driver version 19107, CUDA version 2030, compute capability 1.0, 768MB, 346 GFLOPS peak)

Now that really isn't bad for an old GPU :) Slightly OCd, about 10%.

With different versions of Bionic reporting different values I think this is kinda pointless...

Get on that will ya Ace! :)

Ohhhh, it was pointless looong before then, but bandwagon chimes are hard to bring to a halt with mere logic alone.

I'm just happy no one has started a "Post your free diskspace" thread. ;-)

In this posting Dr. Anderson explained the change as follows....

David 15 October 2009
- client/scheduler: standardize the FLOPS estimate between NVIDIA and ATI. Make them both peak FLOPS, according to the formula supplied by the manufacturer.

The impact on the client is minor:

* the startup message describing the GPU
* the weight of the resource type in computing long-term debt

No one said GPU stat info in the Messages file is pointless. We're saying pasting it HERE in the forum is pointless :-)

Btw: My free disk space is up to 70.3 gb free !!!!!!!!!!!!!
