Its a very interesting story Andy. So now both Enceladus and Titan are both candidates for having possible liquid water oceans under the Ice on the surface. It would be incredible if we found some kind of simple life growing on one of these moons. John. |

Oooooh... And that also provides another reason that, if life's found there, that life wouldn't necessarily have made it to space to find us! Humans aren't quite compatible with sea life (hell, we still haven't managed to figure out dolphin-speak) Jess |

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/8118014.stm Strange that this should come up now the BBC broadcast a remake of Journey into Space yesterday Saturday and it was about a research station in orbit around Enceladus.PS checked this post with Google spellchecker and for Enceladus is recommends Enchiladas (now added Enceladus) Old enough to know better(but)still young enough not to care |

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/8118014.stm Yea, For Enceladus, Google returns this as the top result; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enceladus_(moon). Sixth-largest moon of Saturn. And for Enchiladas, this; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enchilada. Is a corn tortilla rolled around a filling and covered with a chili pepper sauce. The Google spell checker is not always right. I use it all the time for these message boards. I have had to add many words to it. I'm very Dependant on it as my spelling is very poor. John. |

sadly the Sodium signature they were wanting to see isn't there. Sodium meaning salt. Since they couldnt see salt water its assumed life would be much more difficult to sustain. In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |
