For BOINC 6.6.25 and above use a cc_config.xml file in your BOINC Data directory with (at least) the following entries: <cc-config> <options> <use_all_gpus>1</use_all_gpus> </options> </cc_config> Make BOINC use that cc_config.xml file by BOINC Manager->Advanced view->Advanced->Read config file, or by exiting and restarting BOINC. |

Some confusion here on the cc_config file. Please note the underscore (_) should be used and not the dash (-). <cc_config> <options> <use_all_gpus>1</use_all_gpus> </options> </cc_config> File should be in the Boinc data directory which is mentioned in the messages when Boinc starts up. Copy this data to your computer in notepad. Save the file as cc_config.xml. Copy the file to the Boinc data directory. Restart Boinc. Boinc....Boinc....Boinc....Boinc.... |

When using Notepad, make sure to save as "All files" option, or rename the file afterwards as Notepad will save all text files by default with the .txt extension. You do not want the .txt extension, so check what extension cc_config.xml has. If .xml.txt, rename it to .xml only. You may need to change the way Windows shows file extensions. - select Start | Settings | Control Panel | Folder Options - select the View tab - check "show hidden files and folders" - UNcheck "hide file extensions for known file types" - Click OK to finish |

Hi, nVIDIA 8500 GT/GS (etc.), have 1 too, is to small, although is can be use for SETI MB (6.08) Estimate by BOINC is 4-5GFLOP.I does NOT give much speed gain, estimated from GFLOPs, an 1 hour MB WU, should take ~15 minutes 8800GT/GTO/GSO is better, 9800GTX use 1 at the moment, is estimated at 85GFLOP. My only (OC'ed) Host a QX9650, also backed down(3,43GHz) has the 9800GTX card and after UPdated the nVIDIA drivers (190.38), I UPgraded BOINC cause of a mistake I made, installing the 2.3 CUDA dll's(!). from 6.6.20 to 6.6.36 and used the LUNATICs UNIFIED INSTALLER for the CUDA & optimized app.'s. Everything worked out OK! Host is receiving CUDA task's and processing them faultless :) Thanks Raistmer, Joe Jason and everyone whom I forgot, for the app.'s. The are great. |
