Hi there, it's the first time for me to run BOINC on my new computer, and the GPU usage kinda bothers me. | |

Don't set your CPU throttle to 5%. That will make BOINC run one second every 20 seconds, or 5 seconds per minute. The throttle is used for thermal reasons only. It will suspend/resume the tasks at hand, not run constantly at a maximum of 5% CPU cycles. Since BOINC is a one-source-compile-for-multiple-platforms solution, it can't depend on Windows APIs for these kinds of things. | |
