Well i started running the opt. app. and i got what i wanted it only takes a couple of hours to finish the wu but now my problem is having enough work to do. SeTI Enhanced 5.28. So my ? is How can i download more than 10 days of work or is their a diffrent seti app i should run that would be better? I just wanna cruch numbers in a way that helps seti rather than drain its resources.

Holding a cache of larger than the deadlines for WUs causes conflicts with BOINC's built-in scheduler. Also, holding a larger cache can cause more stress on the db server with open records.

It is recommended to have only a 2 or 3 day cache of work, and if you want to ease server problems, it would be best to limit your network communication during non-peak hours for the SETI servers.

What does seti consider off peak hours? I also have 1 TB allocated for seti, what is an appropriated disk size for 3 days work? I havent seen it use more than roughly 100 MB.

There really isn't a specific time consider all BOINC clients connect as needed, but you could say anywhere from 10:00PM Pacific Time to about 7:00AM Pacific Time.

Depends on the workunits. MultiBeam workunits are approx 360KB large and AstroPulse are 8MB large. How many you download depends on many factors including the speed of your system. Needless to say, even with a 10 day cache, you'll never have more than 100MB, if even that. Allocating more won't do anything for SETI.

Not really.
