Why oh why do you now FORCE me to use IE when accessing information on my account. I use Firefox by preference and am very happy with it. Now, any access to the SETI@HOME sites ignores the already running Firefox window and opens one for IE. Tut-Tut, that is not a friendly behaviour.

That's a user error: you have to set the default browser in windows.
See How to set up your default browser in Windows? at BOINC FAQ Service.

Hi in Europe, the next WINDOWS, will be without a browser, according to the European Bureau monitoring rules of trade 'rules'. Or how you'll call them ;)

Else, MicroSoft will get yet another fine.

I DO prefer FFox 3.xx

I also agree, FF 3 is a great browser. What I can't see is how does this related to the origonal post!?

Hi, the original post was about the forced use/part of the WINDOWS OS,a browser(?) which is odd and irritating, only takes space, CPU cycles/processes.
It also has[b] nothing
to do with an O.S. And is not wanted, by a lot of users, too.
Just my 3 (Euro)cents ;-)

But the original post was actually incorrect, because there is no forced use of Internet Explorer. Adding additional diatribe for political motivations do not belong in Q&A. Q&A is for helping people resolve problems - not adding to complaints (especially incorrect complaints) involving personal opinions or views.
