If you put the PC back online, Boinc will check everyso often and when there is work, there is work and will get it automatically.

Regards

But - the PC take ~ 250 W in idle status.. ;-)

Standby takes even less.

..at full load the PC take ~ 700 W.. ;-)

How could BOINC request new work in standby status? ;-)

You can turn it on now. I just got new work, the splitters for MB WU's are up and running again, and producing work. The replica database, is almost 10 hours behind though, but that matters little, as long as we're getting work.

By the way, I am around, just really busy.

Also by the way, I'm from New York. I lost my Brooklyn accent long ago, and never say refer to people as "dude" or "man" unless I'm being ironic. I never surfed and never will.

Some of us know you prefer rock sport over water sport.

Then you reply to Dave A's request might have been....

"Yo Davie! No one mess's with the family! I could sort out them volunteers with a couple of slugs from a 45 revolver", " Then they won't be lookin for no Aliens no more!"

You can't, but there are solutions to your complaints of idle power if you're complaining about it. They just might not be solutions you like, but there are always choices. ;-)
