To clear the confusion, here is the Link that elec999 mentioned. My farm is a mess, I need to clear somethings up before I can post any pictures. ______________ |

Heck my lounge (Seti Farm) looks like a bomb site that a 2 year old has been playing in all day. Anyone that has ever had a 2 year old cooped up inside on a cold rainy winter day will know what I mean... This is my desk, before it got cluttered. The desk has been carved out of one piece of wood to take an ATX board and power supply under the glass top. No room for multi CUDA cards though. Still I put it foward as the highest RAC DESK. :-) It now has a desktop case on top, two monitors, and a quad core box on the floor. Ian |

Here is a picture of my farm and my daily driver. Have other stand alone computers running that are not pictured. I don't consider them part of the farm. This is a thumbnail. Click on it for a detailed view. The stand alone tower is my daily driver, Q1. It’s a QX6700 on a Striker Extreme. Q2 is a Q6600 on an Asrock board, Q3 Q9450 on an Asus Rampage, Q4 is a Q6600 on an Asus P5B, Q5, 6, & 7 are all Q9450’s on Asus P5K Deluxe motherboards. The farm is all on an 8 port Linkskey KMV hooked to a Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse. |

Ianab, THAT is the COOLEST rig I have seen in a long while. I've harboured ideas of making a spify cabinet out of all the exotic wood I've accumulated down in the basement through woodworking projects over the years. Something that would give me some pull out trays and such but at the same time have something made from like cocolobo, or purple heart wood, and say cherry trim, etc. Your desk looks great. Regards, |

(click for bigger image) It's not that current, since there is a Dell i7 on the shelf above, but you get the picture... I also have a mini farm at work, with 4 PCs, 2 in the office and 2 in the back of the shop by my CNC lathe...gotta keep up on the message boards while working, eh?? Clk2HlpSetiCty:::PayIt4ward |

Desktop Supercomputing =) Our SETI@Home farm: - I used to have a q6600, but some of the smoke leaked out ;( So right now, have 5/6 more cuda cards, currently functioning as book ends. =D Nice looking setups you guys have. You wouldn't have wanted to see the farm before GPU crunching. Just had all the MB's sitting on the boxes they came in. I was of the school; "cases? We don't need no stinkin' cases!". Have to say my own production values could definitely use some improvement. lol I am just stoked to be getting more rac now than I was last year at this time; with 9 CPU rigs grinding away. I am so lazy , thanks to cuda, I haven't even turned the PS3 on in a long time. Keep postin' emm up, no shame! This link shows my "crunching corner". The case in the corner houses a Q9450 with an ATI 4850 and a 4870 - crunching Milkyway it has an awe inspiring RAC. It also has a 750GB, a 1.5TB and a 320GB HDD. The case with the cover off, houses my old P4 3.0GHz/HT and an ATI 3850 (AGP), it also has an awe inspiring RAC crunching MW. The laptop is no longer as I've changed jobs and had to hand it back when I left - but in its place I have a E6850 based workstation in my office at w#$^. On the bookshelf in the background some books have been replaced by a 2TB NAS, a 1TB external drive and a docking station for my Sony HD camcorder. |
