Since a few days I don't get any new units to crunch. I joined Seti, Einstein and Rosetta and all 3 of them are running out. When I read the messages I see that none of the projects are even requesting new work. I set a work buffer for 10 days and at the moment am left with 24 units. Why isn't the manager asking for new units? What is happening here? This is a part of the messages I get when I update: Sun 31 May 2009 10:06:27 AM CEST rosetta@home Sending scheduler request: Requested by user. Sun 31 May 2009 10:06:27 AM CEST rosetta@home Not reporting or requesting tasks Sun 31 May 2009 10:06:32 AM CEST rosetta@home Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks Sun 31 May 2009 10:06:37 AM CEST SETI@home Sending scheduler request: Requested by user. You have currently running at SETI: 21 tasks at 1.28 days turnaround time at Einstein: 17 tasks at 5.22 days turnaround time at Rosetta: 4 tasks at 6.54 days turnaround time That sums up to 27 + 89 + 26 = 142 days. Even if there are some jobs uploaded but not reported, I don't see a problem. Gruß, Gundolf Computer sind nicht alles im Leben. You have currently running ?????? Where did you get this information from? When I look in my Boinc manager I see (oops some new units just came in) but I only had 24 units all together. Now Einstein and Seti gave me some new units. But still only a few. ______ DeMus |

Where did you get this information from? From SETI, Einstein and Rosetta. As I said, there might be some that were uploaded but not reported counted as running, but the rough number should be near (unless there are a lot of ghost units). Problem solved. Suddenly Seti, and later also Rosetta, started downloading as if they wanted to make up. They just didn't stop. Now I have what seems to be at least a 10 day buffer. Why? I have no idea, but I can continue crunching. Thanks Gundolf. ______ DeMus |
