Can you tell me what the numbers mean in the data files I'm processing; for example: I can give a partial answer to the best of my understanding. This is just the Work Unit identification for the database. 23fe09 was the date the tape (now hard drive data) was broken done into small blocks of data for use by the splitters that actual create the work units. The aa may be a data block ID. I'm not sure how the center numbers are determined. The _0 at the end means that it was the first copy sent out. A _1 would indicate the second copy sent out from the initial replication for validation purpose. A _X (2,3,4, ect.) would indicate extra copies were needed if/when one of the first two results either errored out, could not validate, or were not received by due date.
This data refers to the position in the sky that the telescope was pointing at when the recording was made. Also the date and time and which orientation of the multibeam antennae was recorded. The user ID is your Seti account number. | |
