Rocky was a friend of mine. And though we served on different coasts, we were both in the Navy at one time. Now many of you know, that while on shore duty, sailors would get toghther and form a coffee club, so that there would always be that life-blood available first thing in the morning. So, go ahead and post your messages and chit-chat here, like you were drinking coffee with your mates.

The best Rocky's Coffee Club II thread has been refurbished.

Coffee for all:

I'm happy and proud of that I was a friend of Rocky and still am.

Let us not forget our friend Rocky, who was also a veteran, on this Memorial Day.

Blessed be the memory of our friend, Marvin Lee “Rocky” Cudd.

May you rest in peace, Rocky.

Oh, that pic of that angel just made me smile through tears, I remember how happy he was when I sent one of them to him. And a copy of the book The Prophet. He loved both of them, the angel and the book.

Boy, I just hate it when Monday falls on a Tuesday. It's just that all the stuff that piles up over the weekend still gets to my desk on the first work day, but worse yet, what would have normally been set over five days of a normal week now has to fit in just four. Or maybe I'm just being a grump after a long day . . .

On the other hand, rehearsal went well tonight. The concert this weekend should be good (you're all invited).

I'm waiting for my airline ticket and hotel booking.

Wait a minute, just hold on, I clearly said concert ticket, not airline ticket. But fares are cheap these days . . .

Since you admit fares are cheap I will logically conclude that tickets are a package deal.

CLOSE ENCOUNTERS on Naked Science, part of National Geographic TV. Don't forget to watch/record it at midnight.

Still fighting the issue with United Airlines. They won't talk to my Congressman's office anymore-they say that I have lied about not being met in Chicago and the case is "closed".

Expect to hear back next week from an attorney I've consulted.

You can't prove something that didn't happen. If you were met by someone from the airline then the burden of proof is on them.

Thats the basis of my pursuit but may need to find someone to pay legal expenses which I simply can't afford. Looking to see if the firm the attorney works for will do it contingency or pro-bono.

A call to your local (or regional) ADA office should place you on the right path.

Working with a group and hiring a lawyer is a different sack of potatoes. If they won't recommend any lawyers that can help you on your financial terms then contact your local bar association. Tell them your story and ask for the proper referral.

Have a dear old family friend who is an attorney at a VERY well-known firm who has already been notified of the situation and they'll be notifying me next Tuesday if they'll take the case.
