Hello Guys,

Wondering what would be the hardware required to hit 20k units a day? I currently run 6000 credits a day on a AMD 940 CPU and GTX 260 Core 216 GPU. Is 20k a day possible?

All the best

Dunno about a rig with the hardware you are asking about....but, ultimate?
There are already a couple of rigs in the top computers around the 50k per day level......

You could try looking there to see what the rigs in the 20k range are running, that might help answer your question.

20k RAC will have you around 12th on the list at the moment. Top rigs are a bit over 50,000.

The idea seems to be get any modern quad core or I7, and cram in as many top end Nvidia cards as possible.

I'm not sure if you have looked into the optimised applications. Having the CUDA card running at 100%, with the 3 other CPU cores doing optimised Astropulse (when you can get some)should boost your RAC. (Your PCs are hidden so we cant see what they are doing)

My quad core (Q6600) is hitting 8,000 at the moment, no CUDA. A dual Xeon server board should be able to hit 20,000k on CPU alone if you dedicate it to optimised AP.

The other method is to build a few cheapo quad core boxes and stack em up in the corner. Without CUDA cards the power draw can be very low (~100w per box). 3 x budget Q6600s should get 20,000 combined without even busting a sweat.

Well my Q9450 + GTX295 is sitting just north of 18k at the moment, and that is doing far more VLAR MB's than AP's on the CPU cores. I'm sure if I were to use Raistmer's VLARkill and devote the CPU to AP's 20k(+) would be easily achieved on this box.
