Message 895267 - Posted: 16 May 2009, 3:54:35 UTC - in response to Message 895256.

I wish I had a remote control on my swamp cooler, but I have to make due with manual control.

Welcome back Mark,

Short of a thermostat controlled swamp cooler, It's the only way to cool. :D

I've got a thermostat on mine. ;)

Lucky You, Mines a window swamp cooler embedded in a wall nearby, It works pretty good too, 1 PC doesn't bother It, 2 would be somewhat warmer and might require an 8500 cooler pump, As It has a 7500 in It now.

I just replaced the 5500 with a 11000 on Wednesday, makes a big difference since the old one was encrusted.

Mine is also window mounted and does not have a option for remote or thermostat.

I do have a backup A/C unit though.

Mine would cost Me $2000 to get working as It was never hooked up after the '87 Fleetwood 14*60 mobile home was moved here from Las Vegas NV.

The last 'Fleetwood' I remember was back in about '77.......

It was a Fleetwood Cadillac that my ol' buddy 'Captain' burned the tyres off in the bowling alley parking lot.....

Get 6 guys on the back bumper...rev it up, and slowly lower it down....

He spun 'er to the hubs that night.

Well this Fleetwood has studs on 16" centers on the outer walls, On the inner walls It's more like on 32" centers, And the roof flexes everytime the winds get high enough. It'll be nice to move away from here and away from the other disturbances(sonic booms), I'll miss the freeway and the friends I've made over 5 years, But I think I'll be able to make new friends.

Meeoooow!

Chucky & Tiff have missed you - I have a little too ;)

I've just come back from a 2 week stint in the US and got Chuck & Tiff back from the cattery yesterday. They are all over me, bless them.

How are you keeping Mark? No more antics, this place is dull without you around.
