Hi there stranger, Look upon My RAC and be semi impressed. ;)

It's all from 1 PC. :)

Seriously, How are You?

Me I'm saving up for 27 things on My amazon wishlist(about $4500 worth) and a good faith deposit on a house(around November of 2009 of about $325+325 from a relative hopefully as I found a good and knowledgeable lender that I can use to get a mortgage with). Soon It'll be 26 on June 1st of course, After that It'll be just save and more save until October(Property taxes are due in October on the House I now live in, probably $214, I mailed the exemption form in today to lower the taxes from about $270 of course) and of course November.

I am just fine......the kitties are all just fat and sassy....they do soooooo luv their Dad....(that's me).

Good luck with the house...it's a fine thing owning the roof over your head, but it comes with responsibilities and costs....make sure you can cover them all.

And don't be too disheartened if you step back and realize that you just can't do it with what you have coming in.

I myself, have not spent a penny on computer bits for months now.....and it hurts!!! So I have stepped back and just resolved myself to getting the most out of what I have right now...
That, and paying the outrageous power bills...

I own one now, I just don't own the land and I know about the responsibilities, As It won't exactly be My 1st house. And thanks.

Oh with what I can get from this place combined with a $40,000 down payment from the county HAP program which also pays for all closing costs, I'll do ok and I'll even have enough, barely, to re-carpet the place(new padding too, It needs It), put up drapes, drapery rods, get a new garage door and opener, get some landscape fabric and some gravel(3-7 tons), a new door knob for a bedroom door and maybe put in a new smooth top electric range, I'll have to take My existing Refrigerator and such, But none of It will go to waste. Oh and I'll have enough saved up for starting up all the utilities that I don't have accounts with currently and the house I'm looking at costs $65,000 of course It may not be around by then, But there will be others around at that price, So I'm not too worried or even concerned as long as It's above 1000sqft in size.

I have acquired a GTX295 and a Coolermaster HAF 932 case and I've shed a lot of old hardware and My last electric bill was $45(I still have a 2nd PC with the P5K Deluxe in It like the 1st and It will also be upgraded the same way as the 1st PC, My PC power usage is now 209w more than It was and I find I need a larger psu and since I have a 2nd slot that could handle a 2nd GTX295 I'm going to get a 1050w Enermax Revolution 85+ in or around December(If I use all 4 cores at 3.51GHz and the GTX295, Lockup, Which then needs a hard reset, Using only 3 cores in Seti fixed that), Of course I need to get a new hdd(a 750GB Seagate hdd will do to replace the ol 150GB Raptor and a 250GB Seagate hdd as the Raptor needs an RMA soon, As It's sata connector is partly broken off inside a sata cable). My next electric bill will be something to see as I started crunching at the time the new bill was started a month ago, thankfully I haven't used any gas for heating since the weather warmed up a lot in the last month and so My gas bill will be smaller.

Well, good luck with it whatever you choose to do....

And I haven't had an electric bill south of $250.00 for years now...Seti years, that is. I seem to recall some down around $65.00 or so before I went krunching krazy....
I am afraid that once the summer weather kicks in around here and I have to start running AC 24/7 they may hit $400.00 a month for the first time.....I may have to reassess things a bit.....dunno yet.

Summer is already here in the desert Mark, As I've been using the remote control swamp cooler to keep the place cool, which is something I'll have to get for the new place too.

Lucky You, Mines a window swamp cooler embedded in a wall nearby, It works pretty good too, 1 PC doesn't bother It, 2 would be somewhat warmer and might require an 8500 cooler pump, As It has a 7500 in It now.

They work fine in dry climates, but they are epic fail in humid ones. Not only do the not cool effectively around here, they make the air more humid than it started, and instead of 90F and 90%, you get 90F and 100%.
