If it's not that far off it's probably because the SETI guys took a "snapshot" of the stats over a month ago to carry into the BOINC database. I know that mine are about 830 shy of my actual WU completed numbers.

Although they haven't actually said, I believe they will do another snapshot when they actually close S@H classic.
