I was looking through my tasks, when the page became unavailable,
can still look at my Computer's details, and at workunit's, but not tasks or the list of tasks!

Claggy

Edit: that happened in a slight dip in the cricket graph, and it's back to normal a couple of minutes later.

My tasks are viewable, but are out of date. Have about 10 AP tasks completed and reported that are not showing that on the tasks page.
And there are a similar number of AP tasks that I have downloaded and are not listed on the tasks pages

Just guessing here: From the server status page:

BOINC Database Engine State # As of*
Master database queries/second 456 0m
Replica seconds behind master 93,652 0m

The replica was disabled most of the weekend, so it will probably take awhile before it's close to current. I think all queries run off the replica.

My task list is way off too, nothing much posted today according to the site, and exported stat's, yet I have had several machines stradily crunching (apart from the quad, which is still in shock from the move to 6.6.20) and posting results all day.

I just checked my own account and a WU I uploaded/reported last night still shows as In progress. I guess the data base has fallen behind.

Today's reported WU's were showing fine until the Replica Database was re-started. That seems be the trigger for the hiccup. Hopefully things will get back to normal when it catches up.

I just hope that the disappearance is only temporary! Or have we all travelled back in time by one day? Most uncomfortable and disconcerting to suddenly "lose" all of a day's WUs..

That would suck.

400,000 points into the void would really bite.

I'm sure it all show back up.

That explains it. All queries for data driven web pages (e.g. your task listings etc.) go to the replica, so we are about 25 hours back in time. It should resolve sooner or later.

Wow, that would make for a great Doctor Who Episode. :)
Everyone's stuck in an alternate reality that's 25 hours behind, but everyone knows what's going to happen in the next day because they have already lived it.
Groundhog's day for everyone. But when the two realities colide (catch up), the universe ends or something like that. Has to be something terribly disasterous if the Doctor has to step in. :)

Plot threads are endless.

So where are they fed from when the replica is offline (as it has been for most of the last couple of days)? The Task pages were working fine until the replica was started up again.

I've got too much shorties too short to crunch on CUDA to churn out invalid results... So I've rebooted back to OS X and crunch the remaining AP units on VM...

From the Server Status Page:
BOINC replica database: A back-up server which contains an identical copy of everything in the BOINC database. Read-only queries can be aimed at this server to lessen the load on the BOINC database.

I think they've switched to the replica rather than the master database since it was started again today.

You could well be right - that there is a switch (manual or automatic) to the replica when it is running. I haven't been tracking the number of queries per second on the Master Database that is displayed on the Server status page but I did notice that is was about 735 earlier in the day and as I write it is at 425. Of course, no-one needs to panic about reults getting lost (as seems to be suggested by some other posts in this thread) - those results are going into the Master database and will be displayed when the replica catches up.
