We need to know two things.

1) Why WU takes longer to process.
2) WTF is that Error on file upload: file_upload_handler: no filename

Betta reply fast, I'm in a bad mood !

Those would be what enquiring minds want to know!

But I'm in a good mood, so I guess they can reply slow. ;-)

Have a good weekend all.

>give us some info...

Imagine you have a big cruizing ship.

This one has several Problems,

- no more fuel,
- given up to leave the harbor,
- pemanently failed to allow the upload of(boarding) passenger,
- the technical crew, who could solve the problems is not given answer, we are not here.

As brave users, we have been "educated" :

a no response, a "no news" is also a kind of news too.

Most of the case, it will not turn into plesent info.

Perhaps it's would be better to rename a picture file or a game to a WUs name and send this to unc. The result will be probaly the same, but without "silly wasting" cpu/power energy.

Contribution to "Sience" yes.

Forget finding signs of intelligent life out in space.

I'd settle for finding signs of intelligent life in Berkley right now! They seem to have all gone on vacation or just disapeared! The random noise that we are getting... customizing the look of a logo... doesn't have any signs of intelligence to it at all.

It's sad that this is so funny right now, but it is! Good one!

LOL - Thanks, that cheered me up no-end.

I love the Berkley Lads and their buds around the world. I know they work their asses off. I know they have brains the size of a planet. BUT my advise to them is "Stay in Academia". If they dealt with users like this in a real world project, they wouldnt make it thru their probation period.

Come one lads, just a note saying you are looking into it is plenty !

Note: No threats to leave, no winges about "my time", I will support them till the bitter end [probably]

Oh no, the nautical references have returned...

The game High/Low is played by tossing two nuclear warheads into the air. The one whose bomb explodes higher wins. This game is usually played by people of low intelligence, hence the name High/Low.

And once again, that witty, well thought out one line reply from Pascal proves it.

Didn't you forget the sis-boom-bah's ?

Just a little frustrated humor to vent some aggravation. I know that the BOINC and SETI@Home team are a very smart group. I admire their efforts, even if it does produce elevated blood pressure readings from the public now and then.

I thank you very much for your informative message!
I just bought a life jacket,...and a couple of pythons / "abseil"cord / to save myself if this ship is going down under.
Perhaps I should buy a crate of beer too and some tranquilizers, so I don't care anymore if ... What If ...

If the guys come out of the pub with a reworked version,...
Aaaaaaaaaaaaah!!! Help, smoke is coming out of the processor... Finally we found ET.

Greetz from flatland Belgium ;-))
Grüsse
PS : I've been often in Switzerland to climb (Saas Fee, Zermatt,Crans Montana, Brigg etc.) . Apart from Norway one of the finest countries to visit.

"I know that the BOINC and SETI@Home team are a very smart group."
Educated? Yes. Intelligent? Very. Smart? No.
Smart people understand the concept of communication. SETI as a group seem to have no concept of how to use http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/ for the purpose of dissemination of timely and useful information. This is unfortunate.
