Okay, I just have a simple question in which I would like answered.

I have a quad core set up going at the second. (Q9550)

I never really utilize all 4 of the cores, so I was wondering if I could assign all of S@H work to a specific core/s?

Say like core 3 & 4 at 100% load doing all S@H work. Is there such a way to do this, and how do you go about this?

Cheers in advance all.

There isn't any way to get work to only go to specific cores. you could limit the number of cores on your preferences page or do it locally.

Are you intentionally wanting to slow Seti down? intend to use the other cores for other things? Seti only works off unused CPU cycles. WHich means it shouldn't interfere with any other processes that could be running

Thanks for your reply Skildude. Very much appreciated, I suppose that has answered my question.

I do have another question, is there any way to revert to default settings on the preferences page?

Do you want to revert from local to server-site settings? That would be the "Clear" button.

Or do you want to reset your online preferences? Only for the Community preferences there is a "Reset" button, but you could create a new venue (home, work or school) and copy those values to your default venue. Afterwards, you can delete the new venue again.
