Congratulations Terri! If you're not a grandparent already, you'll love it. I know I love my grandchildren soooo much. And the love they give back to me is the sweetest.

Terri would be the grandmother. ;) Mike O. would be the grandfather.

Congrats you two!

Awww. :)

A crib right beside the computer to keep her warm and the gentle hum of the fans to help her sleep.

Nothing like the smooth whirring sounds of a Q6600 to send a child into dreamland :)

And if that doesn't work, just make your farm large enough to drown out their cries. :-)

Congrats. I am sure you will enjoy every waking moment. And I am sure that there will be more that you expect. There were with my little girl but I would not have had it any other way.

Terri, first off, congratulations. Secondly, she's a good size for 6 wks preemie; my fraternal twin boys, born back on 4/4/90 were (in order): Adam, 3 lbs, 9 oz and Andrew, 4 lbs, 1.2 oz. and they were also (according to the Neonatal Pediatrician on duty that day) "a good size", considering they were 8 weeks preemie. Had they gone full-term, my ex would have had a total of about 17 lbs of babies inside her! Not easy, considering my ex was born with Cerebral Palsy (SQ) and was using a wheelchair for mobility (and was an identical twin herself).

Once again, congratulations on your granddaughter; she's adorable!

[edit] - I also have 2 grandsons of my own; they're up in the Seattle, WA. area; I haven't seen them face-to-face yet, and they're 5 & 6 (years) respectively now. But then again, I haven't seen my son face-to-face since he was their age, even though I've kept in contact with him all these years.

OMG, she's gorgeous! Congrats to you and your family!! And how special that you and your granddaughter have the same first name, very nice!!

(My son was 4 weeks premature--he was one of twins (I lost his twin early on in pregnancy...). My son was born at 19 inches long, weighing 8 pounds 5 ounces. He's now 13 years old--and is 5' 10" weighing 145 pounds. Doctor says he'll probably been minimum of 6' 5" as an adult. I can't imagine how gargantuan he would have been if he were full term when born! LOL)
