I have a few PC's all connected up and running. They are all in the Home Preferences, how can I move one PC into say the Work Preferences. The same way that you used to move them to the home venue ;-) From the ACCOUNT link on top of this page, select Your computers and there the details of the PC you want to move. Near the bottom of that page, there is a box for the venue and an update button. [edit]venue = Location[/edit] What I want to achieve is on one PC I want to run SETI as the primary project and have Milkyway as the secondary (Only when there are no SETI WU available) I don't know of any automatic way besides the resource settings. You could only manually set "No New Tasks" (NNT). Also, currently I have set my WU to cover 10 days worth of WU but I never get 10 days worth of units in the Boinc client, only several WU max which for 2 PC's is about 9 hours worth. The cache is set for each host individually, but SETI currently has difficulties producing enough tasks for all users (see **SETI WORK OUTAGE-3/27/09**). Gruß, Gundolf ____________ Computer sind nicht alles im Leben. (Kleiner Scherz) SETI@home classic workunits 3,758 SETI@home classic CPU time 66,520 hours

the Home account is the default account for your PC's, that is unless you choose to change them from it.

the Home account is the default account for your PC's Incorrect, the default venue is the "default" or "---" venue. All other venues have to be chosen. ____________ Jord - BOINC FAQ Service - BOINC User Wiki Real is just a matter of perception.

I have identified why I only get a few WU's to work on at a time even though I had the prefs set for 10 days.

Great tip. I remembered of the local override file and I cleared it, returning to the web based settings (10 + 1 days). At the 1st moment I got a lot more non-cuda WUs and I have now - and for the first time - an equilibrated amount of each WU type. But still just for a couple of days only and the CLIENT IS NOT REQUESTING MORE WORK. Let's see if it fills up.

Correction: I have now about 9.25 days of cuda WUs and just 1.1 days of regular, non-cuda WUs.

I remembered of the local override file and I cleared it Since you cleared your local preferences, you do not have a global_prefs_override.xml file anymore. This file gets deleted when you clear the local preferences. It gets made when you save the local preferences with the OK button. When it's used, it'll be in your BOINC Data directory. ____________ Jord - BOINC FAQ Service - BOINC User Wiki Real is just a matter of perception.

There is no way to specify what type of work you want. The work is automatically handed out by the server-side work-fetch scheduler and is done on a "first come, first serve" basis depending on what is in the queue at that moment.
