I run two other projects besides SETI, but Astropulse is taking up 100% of running time, and I haven't even seen my other two projects on the screensaver since last week.

Any reason for this?

Your computer is marked has hidden so I can't check your account to see what type of CPU, OS, and Boinc version.

My best guess is that Seti may be owed some extra time and Boinc is compensating to balance to your resource share. Another possibility is that Boinc feels that with the work you have on hand, you are tight on deadlines and need to run this WU to ensure that the due date is met.

Or you are hooked up to projects that might be down (Einstein, Milkyway, etc.)?

Or, most likely the AP task has been tagged as having deadline trouble, and work fetch to everywhere else is blocked until some progress has been made on the AP task.

Besides SETI, I run Einstein and ClimatePrediction.

I see that you said Einstein is down, but I don't know about Climate. I do have units to analyze that should be running, but they're not

Who says that they should be running? Did you check the various debts?

What is the status of the AstroPulse task in the Tasks tab of your BOINC manager?

I don't know what is meant by "debts." I just downloaded the BOINC software and left the computer to do it. I don't know how it's done, and I'm no computer expert.

The Einstein unit is 34.8% complete, the ClimatePrediction unit is 9.5% complete, and have remained unchanged since last week. If you need any information from me, put on the kid gloves.

Ok, quick and dirty course on Boinc follows...

Boinc controls how much time the CPU devotes to each project by attempting to follow the Resource Share you assign to each project. The default value is 100. If you didn't change the values at any of your project, and have 3 projects, then each will receive 1/3 share of CPU time.

Since the world is not perfect and only one project Work Unit (WU) can run per CPU at a given time, there will be times when a project will have used more time then its share. To maintain the resource share, Boinc needs to keeps track of how much CPU time each project uses. This is done by the Work Scheduler. There are two form of debt tracked by Boinc. Short Term Debt determines which project to run next from what is available on the computer and Long Term Debt (LTD) determines which project to download work from.

If a project's WU is in danger of missing its deadline, Boinc will temporarily override the resource share and give that project extra CPU time until the problem has passed. It will then repay the other projects this extra time to balance the resource allocation.

Why not just let it continue to run then and not try to find out about debt, how you can manipulate that etc. etc.? (and probably break things in the process) Eventually BOINC will continue with the other tasks. Just have patience.

OK. How do I find the debt?

It depends which Boinc version you have. In the latest V6.6.x (which has not been released yet), it can be seen in the Advanced view - Project tab - Properties Button.

In older versions you would need to open the client_state.xml file with a text editor. The exact location of this file would depend on which version of Boinc you have and your system OS. This is a fairly large files that shouldn't be messed with unless you are confident of what you're doing. It contains a lot of the parameters used by Boinc to keep track of the projects.

EDIT: It might be better to just follow Ageless advice. Boinc is very good at taking care of things on its own.

OK, I'll just let it run, then. I upgraded BOINC last Tuesday to 6.4.7, which is when my SETI@Home started running Astropulse.

Thanks for your help.

lets not forget CPDN has a deadline about a year from the day you downloaded it. einstein and Seti have much shorter deadlines.
