Odd error. The BOINC manager says I'm using app 0.07 for the MB. thats odd I don't have nor has Seti sent an app 0.07 and my app_info doesnt say anything about 0.07. I havent been able to find the error on the FAQs at Mundayweb.

It says 0.06
But that aside, what are the app versions in your client_state.xml file?

Well yes, but where is it getting that info from? Are you sure all the numbers in your app_info.xml file are correct and that BOINC is using that app_info.xml file (not another one)?

There's no use changing the app version in your client_state.xml file as that will be overwritten the next time the application is started.

OK I assumed that the SSE version of the Opt ap can run the seti 6.03 WU's. I fixed the app_info it looks like I had it as 6.03 instead of the 603. if I can only run 5.28 apps then I'll redo the app_info again

I fixed the app_info it looks like I had it as 6.03 instead of the 603.

That'll do it, yes. The app version numbers in app_info.xml do not use a decimal period such as the application names do; it'll be dividing the app number by 100 (for major numbering) while anything behind the decimal point will then drop off due to app version numbers only having two minor numbers.

So <version_num>6.03</version_num> will come out as version 0.06, <version_num>60.3</version_num> as 0.60 and <version_num>603</version_num> as 6.03
