Not so much credits, but a recent average credit (RAC) higher than 1 (one). |

I was just wanting to know how many credits do you need to be able to post threads on the other message boards other than Q&A forums ???... You have to have a RAC (recent average credit) greater than 1. The number of credit is irrelevant, you have to be actively participating in the project producing valid results. When you have completed work that has validated you will be allowed to post in all forums. Boinc V7.2.42 Win7 i5 3.33G 4GB, GTX470 |

Just look at: Recent Average Credit At the bottom of that page, you'll also find links to the other credit explanations (claimed, granted etc.) |

Just look at: This is a link to a page in the unofficial Boinc Wiki. There is no registration. It's open for anyone to use. I check the link and it goes where it should. Boinc V7.2.42 Win7 i5 3.33G 4GB, GTX470 |

Well, AB is either not crunching for Seti at this time, or the tasks he has returned lately are still pending (waiting for a wingman to return the tasks, so credit can be gained). My RAC is in the hundreds, going down a bit, going up again. It's done by just letting BOINC do its job on two computers, nothing that I do to interrupt it. Each time that credit is added, the RAC will go up slightly, then during times that nothing is added, the RAC will decay and go down. |

I have 10 active projects on a dual core computer. I have Seti set for only 1% of my resource at the moment because I'm trying to let some of the other projects catch up to my Seti Credit score. I do have an AP result pending and I'm crunching another one at the moment. My Seti RAC normally hovers around 10, but I went through a period where the test Boinc wasn't doing a very good job of work fetch and balancing my queue properly. EDIT If I drop below 1, I'll have to suspend the other projects in the hope I'll get a MB WU which should validate faster than AP does. Otherwise I'll have to limit my posts to the Q&A forum where most of my posting is done anyway. Boinc V7.2.42 Win7 i5 3.33G 4GB, GTX470 |

OT for AB: It is funny to see that your credits are also low here at Seti and overall on all projects. Just as mine are. Just as if we don't really care that much about them. ;-) |

Just as if we don't really care that much about them. ;-) I still have an overall RAC of 744 with just my C2D running. I've been considering getting a discount used system as soon as I find a job, so I'll have a place to mount the 700 gig of drives that are sitting inside my Duron's dead box. Edit: and I can't post in the Number Cruncher forum any more. No use trying to get any MB until the spitters get turned back on .... Before Monday I hope. Boinc V7.2.42 Win7 i5 3.33G 4GB, GTX470 |

I got a couple of them just today, and I am doing only MB. As for Combined BOINC RAC and other such low things, just read and weep. ;-) |

At least unhide your computers so I can see what kind of box you have. ;-) Intel P4 3.0Ghz Hyperthreading with Win XP Pro SP2 32bit and 2 GB of RAM. AMD XP 2200+ with Windows 2000 Pro SP4 and 1 GB of RAM. The Intel has an ATI HD3850 with which I sometimes run a bit of Milkyway. ;) |
