Why is it when I click account from inside of boinc it shows over 4800 credits, but when I go to my account online it shows 0? I really wanted to set up a profile, but with zero credits reported I cant make one. |

It sounds like you have created two accounts. The account you are using to post here doesn't have a computer attached to it. |

Why is it when I click account from inside of boinc it shows over 4800 credits, but when I go to my account online it shows 0? I really wanted to set up a profile, but with zero credits reported I cant make one. You probably have two different accounts - the one that you are using to post here, and the one that you are crunching with. NOTE: DO NOT POST YOUR ACCOUNT KEY OR AUTHENTICATOR. THEY CAN BE USED FOR IMPERSONATING YOU. On your account page here, find your account key. On your computer, find the data directory (a recent version of BOINC will show it in the first few messages in the messages tab after a restart). Find the account_setiathome.berkeley.edu.xml file. Open that file and compare the <authenticator> value with that of the account key you found on the web earlier. If they are different (and I bet that they are) you can switch your usage to either account (but if you switch to the account that you are using to post, the credits will NOT transfer). Assuming that you decide to go with the account specified on the host, you can log out of the SETI Web pages. Then log back in, and use the forgotten password link. Use the authenticator option. Now you have access to the account that your hosts are crunching for. Change the email and password to something real (note that the email address cannot match the one that you used for the account you are posting with). On the other hand, you can detach your client(s) and re-attach using the email and password for the account that your are posting with. Note that you will lose any credit that you have accumulated, and the work you are currently doing will be deleted from your host. BOINC WIKI |

... To clarify this: If you want to use the email address of your "forum" account for the "host" account, you'll have to change the email address of the "forum" account to something else (dummy) beforehand. I submitted an astropulse package for verification 7 days before the due date. (posted 17 Mar.-Due 24 Mar) I've waited over a week for credit. At first the pending credit page said I have appox. 1200 to be credited, now today it says I have zero and my pending has not been credited to my account. What's up with that? E.A. your WU was sent to another wingman. It appears the previous didnt return it before the deadline. You should get credit when a wingman returns some work In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |

It's been almost 3 weeks since I submitted the Astropulse file to be verified, if there has been a problem I would like to know what it is in order to avoid a repeat. What was the result from running the script? E.A. Doiley Defiant Development Team Antares Fleet Yards U.F.P. |

It's been almost 3 weeks since I submitted the Astropulse file to be verified, if there has been a problem I would like to know what it is in order to avoid a repeat. What was the result from running the script? Is the workunit still in your list of pending work? Do you have a link to the workunit in question? The script only grants work for workunits that had 4 other errors from 4 other accounts with only 1 participant completing the work successfully. If you had an error during processing, or your result did not compare with your quorum partner, then script is not designed to give you credit for these types of situations. Credit is only handed out for validated work. |

What was the result from running the script? There is only one task in his task list. I do see that he has some credit, but I have no idea how much he started with. BOINC WIKI |

If you check my original post you'll see that it was a discrepancy with the pending that alerted me to the problem. But since no one has a clue, I will not waste any more time on it. I'll be watching the progress of the next file submitted for verification, closely. E.A. Doiley Defiant Development Team Antares Fleet Yards U.F.P. |

I'll be watching the progress of the next file submitted for verification, closely. Your original post wasn't very descriptive of the problem. It only said that you turned in an AP workunit 7 days before the deadline, it was pending, then you didn't get credit. That could easily be explained that the AP workunit you turned in didn't validate so you didn't receive the credit. If that's true, then the script wasn't meant to grant credit to workunits that don't validate. Since you did not provide a link or an ID of the workunit in question and it has been removed from the website, we can only speculate at this point, and the most logical explanation was that you did not validate with your quorum partner. But yes, I see you have another AstroPulse workunit that you are currently working on. When you turn it in, watch closely to see what the outcome is. If my conclusion is wrong and there is indeed a problem, we may be able to take care of it for you. |

Your original post wasn't very descriptive of the problem. It only said that you turned in an AP workunit 7 days before the deadline, it was pending, then you didn't get credit. It could not validate, because there was no (succesful) wingman. See my Message ID 879576: your WU was sent to another wingman. It appears the previous didnt return it before the deadline. You should get credit when a wingman returns some work But since I also didn't provide a link to the task :-( I think it's now too late anyway. Gruß, Gundolf Computer sind nicht alles im Leben. Your original post wasn't very descriptive of the problem. It only said that you turned in an AP workunit 7 days before the deadline, it was pending, then you didn't get credit. I saw those statements, but by the time I looked at his computers back then, I didn't see the result in his list, so I wasn't sure why you guys were saying hat you were saying without evidence (not that you guys were lying, of course). I think you're right. At this point its too late for that result. We'll have to watch closely with the next one. |

Five days ago I concluded and uploaded a program that had been running for about four weeks, but was 2 and 1/2 weeks in advance of the deadline, April 17th. My SETI credits have stayed at 4003 since March 20th, which was when the previous upload occurred. What gives? Hazugs |

My SETI credits have stayed at 4003 since March 20th, which was when the previous upload occurred. What gives? Which ones - those on your account page, those at a stats site or the local ones in BOINC manager? If the latter, they get updated only when your client connects to the server for requesting new work. Gruß, Gundolf Computer sind nicht alles im Leben.
