Why astropulse 5... take to much time

Why the astropulse 5.. wu take more time than de older the time goes from 50 hs to 120 hs on a dual core 2.4Ghz is too much, for what reason is it? SETIHOME USER SINCE 1999 |

Why the astropulse 5.. wu take more time than de older the time goes from 50 hs to 120 hs on a dual core 2.4Ghz is too much, for what reason is it? Astropulse is a new type of data analysis. Where MultiBeam looks for narrow signal, Astropulse is more of a broadband search of the data. This type of search requires more computing power and takes about the same amount of time that it used to take to analyze Seti Classic on the computers of the time. The Duration Correction Factor needs to be different for AP and SETI, and it currently isn't. BOINC WIKI |
