Successfully installed both EVGA GTX 260 and BOINC v6.4.7. BOINC Manager reports "CUDA devices found" but how do I know for sure it (CUDA) is running and processing (what ever it is supposed to do) correctly?

When you open BOINC Manager, click on the Tasks tab and in the Application column it should say CUDA instead of SETI@Home or AstroPulse.

Thanks. No indication of "CUDA" in Task/Application column. Immmediateley after installing BOINC v6.4.7 it downloaded 4 Astropulse v5.03.

That means you have no CUDA tasks to be processed. AstroPulse workunits are not CUDA capable as of yet.

We are waiting for the new server side scheduler to come to Seti Main that should fix a lot of these problems with getting CUDA work. It is being tested at Seti Beta at the moment. Expect it to be here when it's been deemed mature enough.

Having said that, it appears the new scheduler is being deployed here now. So do test again in approx. 1 hour.

Hmm, I have the same card/boinc setup as you, installed the new card friday evening and detached/attached the host in BOINC and immediately started pulling CUDA work units. Have you successfully got any CUDA work yet? And what kind of card did you go with? Fry's was basically giving away the 65nm/192 shader evga 260's so I picked one up for $150, the CUDA being the deciding factor over the ATI. O/C'd to 677clk/2250mem and just churning through work now. Hope its working for you, it's worth it I think.

Hey all of you Nvidia fans, check out the other CUDA thread on how to run your CUDA and CPU at the same time on the "CUDA installed, SETI sees it but it doesn't run" thread. I'm up and running both types of units currently (BOINC only runs S@H on CUDA and not AstroPulse. AstroPulse currently is solely processed on your CPU. (Thanks for the info Byron!)

For you "EVGA 260 216 core 55nm" fans, I'm currently overclocked at:

Core Clock: 800 @ 55C/ 131F
Shader Clock: 1725 (Linked to Core clock speed)
Memory Clock: 1384
Fan Speed: 90

Seems to be stable at this time, please let me know of your settings as well!

Any errors in the work units you've sent back? Nice o/c, the 55nm versions seem to have a lot of upside. Stock my 65/192 won't make it past 690mhz. Games are just incredible on it, though.

They all have uploaded and are showing credits, so I'm assuming that they lack any errors.

I uninstalled BOINC and deleted BOINC directory, then restarted PC. Reinstalled BOINC and attached to desired applications - Seti@home downloaded numerous "Cuda" Tasks, all running quite fast. Am Happy now.

Hi Pegasus,

I'm a little confused are you now saying that you are getting run time errors?

Hi ZPM,

Scroll down to this Message 872600. You will need to toggle manually between the AP and SETI units from your online account preferences.
