Vettel is on pole for tomorrows race in istanbul. Won't really matter, everyone knows Raikkonen is gonna win! Seriously though, I'm glad to see Ferrari and the other teams are becoming more competitive as the season progresses. The Brawn dominance this year is quite surprising. I still maintain Button is overrated but he did win Monaco so I may have to change my tune a bit. It would be great to see Vettel win the Turkey GP. As a side note, am I in the minority by thinking that the new qualifying format they started a few of years ago is not as good as it was previously? I mean, before qualifying was about running individually to see which car had the best setup and which driver could do a "perfect" lap to prove this - those results were then used to set the starting grid. The new format introduces too many variables to make this sort of determination. Why race three mini-races to determine the grid? The purity is lost for me; it was the one aspect of the sport where car and driver and team were put to the test in a more controlled environment for comparison purposes. Just curious about what others think about this... ____________

I agree but the Formula 1 boss wants more competition because it increases TV audience, which is the modern "golden calf".

Are the Diffusers making that much of A difference? or is it the fact they have their car set up better for the F1 race tracks? ____________ LETS BEGIN IN 2010

Well thats the hole package. When you see Button driving behind a car when using KERS there is not much difference. The complete car is designed that way. Its not giving improvements just to put the diffusers on it. ____________

So it the combination of Kers+Diffusers+track setup = Wins :o) ____________ LETS BEGIN IN 2010

The Brawns dont need KERS. Its only useful when the dsign fits. KERS makes a slow car a little faster. The biggest problem of KERS is the weight and therefor the ballance of the car. ____________

My understanding their are Three types of Kers one being mechanical, one being electrical and the thris one being hydraulic recovery system To save weight on the car using the electrical version would be better. ____________ LETS BEGIN IN 2010

Weight by it’s self is not the issue. It's weight distribution. There is a minimum weight that all cars are required to have. All of the teams use ballast to achieve the minimum weight. By using KERS you end up using less ballast. I think is just plain that Ross Brawn is some sort of genius. Remember, he was leading Ferrari when Ferrari was so completely dominate. It was not just Shumacher, it was Brawn/Shumacher that made the team what is was.

But like i´ve said the problem with KERS is more the ballance of the car. Without it you can place a pound here and a pound there. With KERS you have 30 kilograms on one place. So you have to to save weight on other places. ____________

The Peugeot are fast but 24 Hours is a Race for Audi :) Hmmm. I think the result was Peugeot 1st and 2nd, Audi 3rd.... ____________ Don't take life too seriously, as you'll never come out of it alive!

The Peugeot are fast but 24 Hours is a Race for Audi :) He posted before the outcome was known. So there's a little egg on his face now. But that's ok, I always say Ferrari is going to win the next F1 race. Sooner or later they will prove me right. (I hope.) ____________
