Observed strange behoviour - uploads get to 100 percent, then sit there for a while and go to "retry in..." and when they retry they start at zero percent, doing nothing.

I've just observed even stranger behaviour. Uploads are completing, and being reported, work is getting through..... :)

Best post by far ! LoL

Is it just me or does anyone else think that some sort of statement from the Admins is overdue?

I would hope they are all too busy to post right now. I'm sure we will get word when they get some time.

Thanks for your UPdate, Matt.

Things are a bit stuck, as you've certainly noticed, only by the (amount) of posts, can some 'kick' the 'unwilling server' ?

Does this mean we're out "Of the Woods"? Or aren't we out "Of the Woods" yet?

(Couldn't help myself ;-)))

Matt and everyone at Berkeley are probably working to fix the problem.

Matt won't post anything probably until he issues his normal update later in the day (Pacific time), they have to find and fix what is causing the problems.

Be patient people, something will be mentioned when they have the time or perhaps they will even wait until the normal Tuesday outage to fully fix things, who knows.

Sit tight and all will be told when the time suits.

edit - something just happened as I upload all the remaining tasks I had (15) and got a ton of new work in the past few minutes.

Bravo, this is a management procedure that should be in place. Even in development labs, procedures are necessary to measure progress and limit errors (QA is necessary).

Could we hear from Matt with regard to what procedures are followed?

I'd be happy if we could just hear from him.

Yes I'm sure we will hear from Matt in good time. However as some people are now accusing the project team of "staging these outages to get more money" and saying that the problems are down to incompetence, if I was Matt I believe I would be very upset.

Calm down people.

Bernie
