Hey!

Well I have a PC with the following specs:
CPU type AuthenticAMD
AMD Phenom(tm) 9600 Quad-Core Processor [x86 Family 16 Model 2 Stepping 2]
Number of processors 4
Coprocessors NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT (512MB)
Operating System Microsoft Windows Vista
Home Premium x86 Editon, Service Pack 1, (06.00.6001.00)
Memory 3069.77 MB
Cache 244.14 KB
Swap space 6355.99 MB
Total disk space 455.42 GB
Free Disk Space 360.23 GB
Measured floating point speed 2325.91 million ops/sec
Measured integer speed 4984.19 million ops/sec
Average upload rate 13.78 KB/sec
Average download rate 76.32 KB/sec
Average turnaround time 18.99 days
Maximum daily WU quota per CPU 100/day
Tasks 153
Number of times client has contacted server 814
Last time contacted server 16 Feb 2009 19:07:19 UTC
% of time BOINC client is running 31.7685 %
While BOINC running, % of time host has an Internet connection 96.5884 %
While BOINC running, % of time work is allowed 81.9854 %
Task duration correction factor 0.756783

Recently, I have noticed that it is only running 2 scans, instead of the usual 4/5. For some reason it only seems to be receiving CUDA scans.
Seti@home and Astropulse are both enabled.

Help?

If you aren't running a modified app. then you will only get Cuda WU's and when available Astropulse.

However if you apply the modified app you can get multibeam and Astropulse running on your CPU's as well as Multibeam on your Cuda. there are several threads on the Numbers Crunching forums that can help you do just that. You can also run other projects on your CPU if you dont want to mess with modifying your app.

Thanks for your reply.
I tried to modify the client before and messed up, i will just enable rosetta to run again. Hopefully, it will still get an astropulse like once a month. Since rosetta has no CUDA it seems that seti is getting all of that CPU time.

hey kid, run your boinc benchmarks, and tell me how many cores it's showing in the messages tab.

20/02/2009 07:41:27||Running CPU benchmarks
20/02/2009 07:41:27||Suspending computation - running CPU benchmarks
20/02/2009 07:41:58||Benchmark results:
20/02/2009 07:41:58|| Number of CPUs: 4
20/02/2009 07:41:58|| 2167 floating point MIPS (Whetstone) per CPU
20/02/2009 07:41:58|| 5011 integer MIPS (Dhrystone) per CPU
20/02/2009 07:41:59||Resuming computation

Which is correct, it is a quad core machine. I now have CUDA disabled because my CPU's were idling.
Can someone answer this question for me: will this problem be fixed in the next version of boinc client? and when is it due for release?

Thanks
