Hi, I am running SETI@home on a multi-core Intel Mac Pro with Leopard. It runs fine and I'm happy to be helping once more. But I have a question. Years ago, when I used to run this on my Windows PC, the screensaver would come on after whatever time, and show the SETI@home graphics. I can't get this behaviour to work on the Mac. I can either hit the Show Graphics button, showing it in a separate window, or I can activate the BOINC screensaver, which seems to show nothing but a BOINC logo... Am I missing something? Is it possible to have the graphics come up automatically when the task begins? Thanks! Mike |

I have a dual quad core Mac Pro also. My screen saver work fine. Are you running the newest BOINC software? I had this problem a year or so ago but they fixed it with an update to the SETI client. |

I believe that only the "standard" SETI application has the screensaver. The Alex V8 optimized app doesn't have a screensaver, but runs around twice as fast as the standard app. C Join Team MacNN |
