I reformated my computer and reinstalled Boinc. when i reconnected to seti my statistics/work done stats started over. how can i get all my statistics to show?

You can't. The statistics live in the statistics_*.xml files in your BOINC/BOINC Data directory (depending on if you use BOINC 5 or BOINC 6). Since you reformatted, everything on your computer is gone, including those statistics files.

Over time they'll continue to grow again as they get updated after every scheduler contact you had with Seti (and other projects for that matter).

I want to upgrade from BOINC 6.2.19 to 6.4.5, is this going to be a problem? and does anyone have ATI Radeon Express with 256MB "Hypermemory" graphics in a laptop who can advise me as to whether this idea is a mistake to begin with?
Am sure I should have been able to find the answer to this but could not.

I don't think so. However, why would you want to do that? 6.4.5 is buggy and only needed if you have a CUDA-capable card, which you don't have.
