No it's definitely not realtime. ;)

To be honest with you nobody knows yet.

In the past it could have been 1 week, 2 weeks or a month or more.

With Seti's equipment upgrade they will catch up on the backlog. It remains to be seen what will happen now.

However even under the best of circumstances it could still take 2 weeks or more for credit to be given for any individual wu.

From what I've found it's real time with respect to the validator. Once the validator has all three units and says that they are good, the credit is INSTANTLY granted.

In other words, if the validator is up and not backlogged AT ALL, and the other 2 results for your unit have already been sent in, then you get the credit within a couple seconds of sending in the units (this happened to me several times way back when the results and pending sections were working).

However, since there is a HUGE backlog of units, and the validator isn't always on of late... Boinc User is right.

For a while I was getting a steady flow of credits (about 4 units worth every day)... but not for the past little while...

Thanks guys. But, what I meant more specifically was, once I do get granted some more credit, does the addition get reflected immediately on my account page, or does that number get updated at a regular interval?

Yes it's immediate if the result has been validated by another user also.
It takes two valid results and then credit is given immediately and will show on your account page.
