I have a couple of computers sitting quietly in a corner crunching for Seti without keyboards, mouses and monitors attached to them. On wireless so I can place the computer anywhere in the home. Both currently have ATI video cards installed. If I were to install GeForce 9800 GT video cards in them would they make use of CUDA even though a monitor is not attached to the computer? I heard a few weeks ago that this would be a problem and wonder if it is verified. Boinc....Boinc....Boinc....Boinc.... |

You might try using a KVM switch. I have four such computers hooked up to a KVM switch and can use all four on one monitor, hey board and mouse. A 4 place KVM will run you about $100.00 but then you can switch back and forth between computers on a single monitor etc. Very handy. When using the 9600GT card you may see a snowstorm, so be sure you get the NIVIDIA 181.20 driver for them. All my computers are Windows Vista Ultimate 64 Bit. Be so advised and make sure you have the right driver for your system. I also use the Boinc 6.6.2 version without a problem, --- yet. Once the 9600GT cards are installed, Boinc automatically finds the CUDA device and uses it. I have multiple cores on my AMD chips and the CUDA device functions as an additional core, but as yet does not see CUDA on additional SLI cards.
