Please advise if my proposed 3rd option (or any variation of it) will work.

You no need to assign whole CPU core to CUDA app. Both cores can do CPU app (opt SETI AP in our case) and GPU will do SETI MB with CUDA-based app.
But you need app_info.xml for this (if you want to use optimized SETI AP).
If for AP and MB will be stock app you no need app_info.xml.

Hi All
Is V6.08 the one that has all the bug fixes ?

Now that it's downloading, how well is it working, can it be left to run without being babysat ?

Any BSOD's, snowy pix, crunching errors etc.

Regards
Brodo

So far it's running nicely. I don't have any VLARs so I can't vouch for that but it's working fine for me. I had one workunit stall on me but that's it. I'll see if it was an isolated incident before I report it as a bug.

Not possible at present, you can eithier run AK_V8 and Optimised AP with an app_info,
or you can run Cuda and Optimised AP with an app_info,
but you can't run Cuda and AK_V8 with an app_info.

Claggy

Thanks Claggy and Raistmer for your replies.

Fundamentally what I was asking is if it is (or can be made) possible to run Cuda AND optimized AK_V8 concurrently in ONE project (namely S@H Main), so that both MB apps can jointly crunch MultiBeam WUs (admittedly I am Assuming MB WUs are all "the same" and crunchable by either application). I am deducing from both replies, and Leopoldo's reply, that at present I can have only ONE MB app per project. With two projects (Main & Beta), I can presently crunch MB WUs with Cuda (in Beta) and concurrently crunch MB WUs with AK_V8 on one dual-core PC (as I said, I've chosen to not crunch AP WUs at present under either project).

Hopefully the clever devs and S@H Project folks at SSL can come up a way to allow (with or without an app_info.xml) a cached pool of MB WUs in Main project to be crunched concurrently using both Cuda AND AK_V8.

Well, it seems to still hang on the occasional workunit...and right now it's using my CPU instead of my GPU. Better than crashing at least.
