I was on seti years ago and have just downloaded boinc to get back on it.

I read that I could claim my old seti credits but unfortunately the email address that I used before is no longer available. I have tried to go through the procedure on the setiathome.berkeley.edu site but it says that my old email is connected to an existin boinc account.

Does anyone know how I can get my old account linked to my new one?

cheers.

You can't.

BOINC accounts cannot be merged, while Classic WU counts can only once be associated with a BOINC account. You will have to figure out what the other account is.

It won't be that the Classic WU count will be converted to BOINC credits, they only stay in the account as a memento. Everyone starts from zero with BOINC credits.

I see,

Thanks for letting me know.
The problem is that I dont remember the password and cant change it as I cant access the email address any more.

Oh well, I shall start from scratch then.
