WHY AM I HAVING SO MANY PROBLEMS WITH PULSE. I GET NO CREDIT FOR THE TIME I HAVE PUT IN, HUNDREDS OF HOURS. HAS SETI CHANGED LEADERSHIP RECENTALLY? IF THEY HAVE I CAN SEE THE REASON FOR THESE PROBLEMS. THEY ARE TRYING TO GET EVERYTHING DONE AT ONCE WITHOUT ASKING THE PATICIPANTS IF THEY HAVE THE TIME OR COMPUTER CAPACITY. I CANNOT GET ANSWERS TO ANY QUIESTIONS I ASK, THERE IS REALLY NO FORUM FOR THIS IN HERE! |

There is a bug in the validator that grants credit in that when you turn in the work, it reports zero granted credit, but in fact once a workunit has reached quorum, the credit is granted appropriately. The problem is compounded by the fact that the website is designed so that results are removed from the system after 24 hours of having granted credit, so when a workunit is given zero credit, it is removed, giving the impression that no credit was given, but in fact the credit is still placed into the account after the result has been removed. ...and please, there's no need to shout by typing in all caps. |

Astro Pulse Screen saver freezes when trying to click it off....Astro Pulse locks up on screen .....cannot get it off without rebooting or waiting until computer screen goes into sleep mode. ? Sounds like a video driver bug, you could try upgrading to the latest version to see if that helps. Otherwise, I would suggest not using the screen saver anymore. |

I see one astropulse being done by you Styx. It gave an error -197 (0xffffffffffffff3b) and said aborted by user. Im sure someone will be along shortly to explain the error message. You can always go to your account page and change the seti preferences where it says "Run only the selected applications". Unclick astropulse. The next time you update seti it will know not to send you any more astropulse WU's In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |
