Check your SPAM filter. You won't be sent a password, but a link to log in with. But the SPAM filter on your email should allow the URL that it's coming from to enter your inbox.

Which account are you asking it for? if another one than the one you're posting with, is the email address on the old account still valid? Are you trying to get it for the other account, not the one you're posting with (i.e. did you log out first)?

Without saying what email address you used, as you should never post your email address on these forums (they're being read by various spam bots) can you tell what provider it is from (hotmail, gmail, live.com, such things)? It's possible that address range is being blocked on the Seti server, but we can ask the admins about that.

Old SETI Classic accounts didn't have passwords. The proper procedure was to get a password here (don't click on it though), and then attach to SETI as an existing user in BOINC.

But since you have already created a new BOINC account, what you can do is attach this account to your old one by clicking here. Your old sign-up date will be added to your account (instead of the one showing now), and your old SETI Classic workunits will be added as a separate stat as a memento of your past contributions, then you can begin collecting the new BOINC Cobblestones once you start crunching.
