Just nice to have, not really a problem :

The BOINC client seems to open files with DENY_READ|DENY_WRITE and no sharing at all. It would be nicer if reading the files (e.g. stdout.txt) with file viewers that keep them open for reading would not conflict with BOINC updates to those files. Currently BOINC gives an error if a file is open for reading.

Happened with 4.09 on Win2k.

Works fine with state.sah (Seti "Classic") btw., so that would be the ideal fopen mode.
