	We are often told that SETI hasn't found any proof of extraterrestial intelligence. But certainly they have found something interesting even if it isn't ET. Click on the Science Status link and you see 941 million spikes, 302 million Gaussians, 471 million pulses, and 451 million triplets. What does this mean? Is there anything at all interesting, non-ET related, that has been found in all this data?

This is a very long drawn out process and the data collected so far only represents a small fraction of the sky. Click on the Science Status link and you see 941 million spikes, 302 million Gaussians, 471 million pulses, and 451 million triplets. It means we have analyzed a lot of data and there are a lot of possibilities in the database that has been compiled over the last 10 years. The problem is being able to sift though it and compare observation at different times for the same co-ordinates in space. What does this mean? Is there anything at all interesting, non-ET related, that has been found in all this data? No one knows. Until the NTPCKR (nitpicker) software is fully developed we wont begin to get any answers. As far as I know it is still in the proof of concept stage. It is meant to search and compare the accumulated data as well as new incoming data in real time to find and catalog signals that may be of interest, be they from ET or a natural (extraterrestrial) source that may be of interest while eliminating known sources. 	In other words these could actually be ET comunications but we first need to be very sure before we announce. ____________ We choose to go to the moon and to do other things, we choose to go to the moon not because its easy but because its hard. kennedy
