Looking for any Lunatics Pre-release testers out there that have AMD sse3 capable CPU & running Linux. Need a volunteer that can do a quick test & turn-around. Please sign-in & PM me @ Lunatics. Prefer inquiries from those w/ current Pre-Release Tester status for the moment. Thanks!!! |

Looking for any Lunatics Pre-release testers out there that have AMD sse3 capable CPU & running Linux. I have an Opteron 1210 which is SSE3 capable running SuSE Linux 10.3. I am running AK_V8 MB app and stock Astropulse 5.0 (very slow). Tullio |

I've got a Sempron64 3400+ that runs AKV8 at the moment because I've been waiting for APv5 to have a Linux build. 64-bit, by the way. Linux laptop: record uptime: 1511d 20h 19m (ended due to the power brick giving-up) |

Ubuntu 8.10 x86_64, it is the amd based one I would guess it is more a question of whether the optimisations for the AMD CPU work as expected. Intel CPUs have different bottlenecks and so require different optimisations. Hence the CPU-specific optimisations may well not work well on other non-targeted CPUs... I would think these kinds of optimizations might work well with the new Core 7i items because at a system level they are very similar to AMDs CPUs now. |

At the moment, the priority is strictly to test that the tasks run and validate on the genuine article - so when Gecko asked for "AMD sse3 capable CPU & running Linux", that's exactly what he meant. |

Looking for any Lunatics Pre-release testers out there that have AMD sse3 capable CPU & running Linux. Did you get your test done ok? I can play on (or crash) such a machine over the next few days...
