...Well - I downloaded the package. Closed BOINC...

Are you sure to have stopped BOINC completely? Check in windows task manager for boinc.exe. To be sure, use the Shut down connected client... command from Advanced menu before copying the optimized application to the SETI project directory.

And are you sure that you didn't install in Protected Application Execution mode? (This time I do mean the BOINC service install :-) If you did, CUDA won't work anyway.

Gruß,
Gundolf

Ahhh, good point about shutting down. I think it wouldn't reconize the card if the protected Appplication mode was an issue, and it seems to show it's being seen as CUDA here

Looks like this indeed was the problem - at least after restarting the computer, the new cuda-app began to work. My new problem is, that right now there's only one WU being crunched (Running 0.04 CPUs, 1 CUDA) - for two others it says "Waiting to run 0.04 CPUs, 1 CUDA).
By the way: Shouldn't it only crunch two WUs at a time, when I set the maximum number of processors in the S@H-Settings to two? Or is that result of the changed cc_config.xml?

And more than that - the WU being currently crunched by the CUDA app now is stuck at 87.604 %. I've seen here, that I'm obviously not the only one with that problem. Guess I'll return to normal settings soon. But until 1st January I won't be here anyway to play around further with it.

So again thanks for the help to all of you - Frohe Weihnachten und einen guten Rutsch/Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Best regards
Jens
