Shoe throwing

I just found it amusing that Our Prez got to dodge a pair of shoes being thrown at him.

1) are the secret service guys getting fired over that one. Heck the guy had time to take off both shoes and throw them. Come on guys you are supposed to take a bullet for him. good thing the guy didnt have anything that exploded or was sharp.

2) touching anothers shoes or seeing the bottom of someones shoes is insulting. If that isnt a lame insult. But I guess when you have domestic animals running around you wouldnt want to see what your neighbor just walked through. Heck the smell would be enough. I hadn't realized the shoe thing until i heard Bill Richardson talk about this when he met Saddam hussein(spelling so kill me). This led me to think about when marines tore down Saddams statue and all the locals were beating on his statue with their shoes.

So to review

what a funny insult and why did our SS take so long to take out the shoe tosser

As I recall thats not his call. It's the SS that detemines threats to the president. SS members are trained to determine threats and take a bullet(shoe) for the president.

my thoughts about the incident is that iraqis are very difficult people ,that incidence shows that no one can be trusted not even the reporters and i dont blame bush for going to war in iraq after all his country was attacked brutally some one had to done the dirty job of teaching those guys a lesson and it happened it was his call ,just imagine a world were you afraid of going to work,to sleep or to shop
the price of war is always high but some times one has no choice especially if the terms are decitated like in 911

So much for democracy. The reporter that threw his shoes was severely beaten while in custody. Apparently the Iraqi police are trained by the Los Angeles police. Luckily, the judge on his case is actually looking into the beating. so their is some form of law there

At first my thoughts were supporting USA in Iraq war, too. Now I'm just not sure. What actual reason of the invasion? Did biological or chemical or nuclear weapons were found in passed years? Or Saddam had connections with Laden? While Laden's involvement in 9/11 is not proven. Probably, Saddam was a bad guy, but what makes USA to bomb the country? Aren't Iraq people afraid "of going to work,to sleep or to shop"?

The problem is that the world is a taught place ,peoples values differ and some are just to twisted to comprehend ,its true that every one is very sorry for the lives lost in wars but the truth is how do you break a structure of groups who are protected by govts like iraq and afgan whose leaders are totally bent on destroying civilization as we know it ,there is no other way but to go to war you got to be a man to survive and the world today has very little room for sentiments

This is a good question, but also a big can of worms... Your best bet is to read the bill congress passed giving Bush permission to invade Iraq. You can also reference the countless UN resolutions Iraq broke or failed to comply with. Most importantly they refused to allow UN inspectors into the country, and when they were allowed to enter, they were limited on where the could search.

There may be reasons - IIRR, Iraq accused inspectors in espionage. Who likes of being intellectual labor, and after all nothing was found. And wasn't the senate been deceived when Rumsfield or Chainey (I can't remember) presented some fluck of colored water as a "proof"? You suggecting that any country that is suspicious and giving you bad dreams at night is a subject of elimination?

How could the iraq war been avoided ,do you really believe on serious note that all the
planning for 911 and east african bombings were carried out by individuals,think again guys ,imagine a guy like saddam who used chemical weapons on his people and the statements he made just hours after 911 with a possibility of possessing a nucleur waepon not pancakes but a nuclear weapon playing cat and mouse with you what do you think he will do with it i can bet he will not put it in a museam for he who walks like a wolf,talks like a wolf and even bites once in while like a wolf is certainly not a dove so let no one make a mistake of even trying to defend the butcher.what happened to iraq is an old law of survival called 'i will get you before you get me '.

Ahhh . . . the importance of obtaining written loyalty oaths from all audience participants should never be underestimated. GW should have known that this audience, being different from his customary cameos on the deck of an aircraft carrier, the halls of Bob Jones University, or AIPAC Headquarters had to present some risks. The upside is that the shoes were not made with impact-detonating plastique soles.

Ranking highly among the things we'll likely never see is GW's reaction to the shoe tosser that might have been scripted thus:

GW quickly commands attention from the audience, points to the shoeless reporter and says, "Let no harm come to this man - I want him set free. There is no American who would not change the collateral damage of removing Saddam Hussein from power - including this one." GW waves to have the shoe tosser escorted from the audience.

It's hard to imagine which nation would have been more astonished by such a genuinely faith-based charity. Abandonment of the situation left the war victim to further beating for failure to contain his frustrations at the violation of his community.
