Hello, I'm new to SETI@Home, but I managed to mess up in the short time I have been processing data. Specifically, in the process of testing out a bit of code on my Linux machine, my BOINC client's process memory was quite thoroughly corrupted. About half of the WUs in progress were sent back with the "Client Error" flag, but the other half are still in my task list on this site as if they are simply waiting to be processed.

Once those tasks reach their deadline they'll be sent out again to other computers (not you) automatically. There's nothing that needs to be done on your part.

That is unfortunate. Good thing this is a wish list, I wish there was a way for the clients to report to the servers that the unit transmitted is either corrupt or does not exist anymore, so that they can either re-transmit, or reassign.

It is a project option. It was taking up too much database time, and was removed from S@H as it was reducing the amount of wus that could be sent out. ____________ BOINC WIKI

Thanks for the information. The only way to atone, it seems, is to work on more WUs. Not a problem.
